About the movie

In 1951, Walt Disney produced Alice in Wonderland which is an American animated musical fantasy-comedy based on Lewis Carroll's book, Alice. Disney originally intended for the film to be a live-action/animated film. However, Disney decided to make it an all-animated feature in 1948. Alice in Wonderland has been regarded as one of Disney's greatest animated classics and is also known as one of the best film adaptations of Alice.

Plot

On a bright sunny day, Alice and Dinah were sitting by the river. While Dinah read a boring book about William I of England, Alice daydreamed about living in a world of nonsense. Shortly after, Alice saw a White Rabbit wearing a waistcoat and a pocket watch. Both girls followed the rabbit into a rabbit hole, and Alice suddenly fell down into a deep well.
Once in the whole, Alice followed the Rabbit and weird and wonderful things started happening to her. She went into a large chamber-like hall, but managed to escape through a tiny door. The Doorknob suggested Alice to drink from a bottle and she shrunk. The Doorknob the instructed her to eat a cookie and that made her grow. Alice started crying, and her massive tears flooded the room. The Doorknob once again told Alice to drink and she then shrunk again and both Alice and the bottle drift through the sea of Alice's tears.
Alice then met the twins, Tweedledum and Tweedledee. She then sneaked into the White Rabbit's house, and grew into such a large size that she got stuck inside the house. Alice then ate a carrot from the garden and then shrunk down to three inches.
Alice chased the Rabbit again and she found herself talking to flowers and strange insects in the garden. The flowers mistook her for a weed and they drove her out of the flowerbed. She then spoke to a caterpillar who smoked hookah, and broke off two pieces of mushroom, which made her shrink and grow (once again). She managed to go back to her normal size and put the rest of the pieces into her pocket.
Alice received directions from Cheshire Cat, which led her to the garden of the March Hare, who was celebrating his unbirthday with the Mad Hatter, who were both rude to Alice. With this, she decided to go home. The Cheshire Cat reappeared and showed Alice a short-cut out of the forest and into the garden of the Queen of Hearts.
In the maze garden, Alice met someone playing cards while painting the roses red. The Queen invited Alice to a game of croquet using flamingos as mallets, hedgehogs as balls and card soldiers as wickets. The Cheshire Cat then played a prank on the Queen, blamed Alice and order for her execution, but luckily the Queen suggested that Alice be put into a trial instead. During the trial, the Cheshire Cat caused chaos to distract everyone, which gave Alice the change to eat the mushroom, get bigger again and scold the Queen for her rude actions. However, Alice started shrinking again and the Queen instructed everyone to chase Alice.
Coming back to the Doorknob, Alice was told that the door is still locked, however, she was already on the other side. Alice looked through the keyhole and saw herself asleep in the park. Alice gradually woke up to the sound of her sister's voice.
